Joseph Dutra is a Video Editor based in Southern California and working everywhere.
Joseph’s love of storytelling began as a child when he first saw a Star Destroyer cross the top of the screen. Once he picked up and reassembled all the pieces of his brain, he knew that he wanted to spend his life telling stories. He believes that everything is a story, whether it be a film, a podcast, or a 15 second social media ad, and that his job is to find the best and most interesting possible way to tell that story to the intended audience.
Over his 14 year career as a Video Editor, he has edited for worldwide brands such as Nike, Anheuser-Busch, Intel, Wells Fargo, Lockheed Martin, Activision, CNN, and AT&T. In recent years, he has edited for some of the most popular podcasts in the world, including The Sarah Silverman Podcast, Offline with Jon Favreau, The Viall Files, Hysteria, Keep It!, And That’s Why We Drink, and many more.
His photography work highlighting the annual reconstruction of the Q’eswachaka — the last Inka grass suspension bridge of present day Peru — has been featured in the Smithsonian Institute’s National Museum of the American Indian as part of The Great Inka Road exhibit.
